Launched on 1st July 2005, the Market Abuse Directive (MAD), a key element of the European Union's (EU) Financial Services Action Plan, sets a common framework for preventing and detecting market abuse and ensuring proper disclosure of information to the market.
It is a requirement of the Market Abuse Directive, Article 6(1) to 6(3), that listed companies and their advisers maintain lists of individuals who have access to Insider information. This directive is enforced through regulatory authorities in each Member State.
Available to all Blueprint 2000, Blueprint Online and Blueprint OneWorld Users, Blueprint® Insider Lists enables you to easily create, manage, store and report on your Insider lists directly from within Blueprint.
With Blueprint® already administering information on your organisation's Officers and Board members, Blueprint® Insider Lists reduces the time you would spend adding duplicate data into an external software package and reduces the associated costs of purchasing new software and hardware.
As a module of Blueprint®, Blueprint® Insider Lists is easily installed on your existing I.T. infrastructure.
New Insiders are automatically sent an Insider Declaration Email detailing your organisation's Insider procedures enabling you to record their acknowledgement date and track outstanding acknowledgements. When Insiders are removed from an Insider List or the list is closed, an email is automatically sent to the Insider notifying them.
Centrally controlled validations and security rights enable you to delegate the maintenance of Insider lists to specific Project Managers, whilst senior Users can view, edit and report on all projects.
With the ability to comprehensively report on Insider information pertaining to a specific Insider, project, date range or company, you are equipped to meet the reporting requirements of regulatory authorities in all EU Member States in addition to producing reports for your own requirements.
Insider lists are customised to the local requirements of each EU member state, ensuring you remain compliant with local regulations throughout the EU without any need to research the legislation or invest in an external software package.
Based on the MAD and EU Member State regulator requirements, Insider lists are configured to record just some the following details:
Based on Blueprint's advanced security controls, you can quickly grant existing Users access to Blueprint Insider Lists. Equally, you can create new Users who can only access Insider list information and not your primary Blueprint database, making Blueprint Insider Lists ideal for Users with no previous use of Blueprint and minimising the need for training.
Should you wish to extend or adapt the functionality of your Insider lists, you can configure the fields to your own specification.
